Unathi Jack of Emanti wins at WRC Knowledge Tree Awards 2015
The Symposium is held every two years with the aim of finding new ways to tackle the challenges of today and tomorrow while maintaining existing resources. The WRC hosted its second WRC Knowledge Tree Awards during the symposium.
Ms Unathi Jack was presented with the WRC Knowledge Tree award for ‘Informing Policy and Decision Making’. Unathi was delighted to accept the award for outstanding work on her WRC projects with Emanti Management.
Unathi and her team have worked on projects that include the development of risk assessment tools and guidelines to assist the sector to effectively plan, manage, maintain and operate water-related infrastructures.
The WRC Knowledge Tree Awards acknowledge recipients who have made incredible impact in the water and sanitation sector through their research and innovation. Unathi was also acknowledged earlier this year in the WRC’s publication “Amakhosazana Amanzi”.
