Web-enabling DPME’s LGMIM tool

The Department of Monitoring and Evaluation (DPME) required a service provider to assist with web-enabling their Local Government Management Improvement Model (LGMIM). Although Emanti is not a software development company, since inception of the company we have facilitated the development of spreadsheet- and web-based tools for use by the water sector (local, provincial and national government, private companies). With these skills, and our intimate knowledge of the LGMIM tool (having developed the original spreadsheet-based tool), we were fortunate enough, together with our IT development partners, to be appointed by DPME to web-enable the LGMIM. Web development will kick-off in March 2016, and to-date the team are developing the necessary system documentation, including business requirements specifications and the associated functional requirements specifications. It is anticipated that the LGMIM tool will be ready for deployment by end June 2016.
